The Healing Power of Visualization

A few tears fell from my cheeks this morning during meditation.

Was it happy?

Was it sad?

It's hard to say, but I felt immense healing.

Sunday mornings in the main temple, is the medicine buddha mantra.

For 30 minutes we chant:

"Tayatha Om Bekandze Maha Bekandze Radza Samudgate Soha"

During it, we visualize the people in our lives we want healed.

We imagine these people at their best, full healed from all suffering – mental, physical, spiritual – all of it.

It's power is astonishing, if you're open to it.

Today I pictured the people, I believe, most affected by my child abuse.

People I desperately want to help heal.

My mom.

My dad.

My two abusers.

I imagined everyone in a brilliant blue light – smiling, dancing, crying.

Releasing the truths deep down in their hearts.

Setting their souls free.

By the end of it, another person showed up I wasn't expecting.

Me.
