I love flowers.

Having the same name as one has something to do with it, but I've always admired them.

I have an Oracle card deck named "The Language of Flowers." It's a set of 44 cards with a flower and a word on each, meant to insight thoughtful thinking. The impressionistic illustrations are beautiful.

I drew a card the other day:

ACTION

The oracle deck The Language of Flowers on a table with the Action card showing. There is an illustration of a venus fly trap.

It's fitting to be the first card in the deck. What can action mean in my life right now?

The booklet says this:

The plant works by luring and retaining good energy that comes your way and will assist you in using these powers to boost your planned actions. Don't take on more than you can handle at the moment and be extra careful of possible deceptions.

We can lure and retain good energy by first putting out that same energy. We attract what we put out. Action is no different. Doing equals more doing.

This past week I lept into action and bought the tulips at the top of this post. It snowed about a foot the next day. All the petals fell off even with me bringing the flowers in before the bulk of the snow. It's not what I hoped for when I bought the flowers, but I'm still glad I did.

We rarely regret doing the "thing" we've been wanting to do.

We just learn and adjust for next time.
