Awareness is a word that gets thrown around a lot especially if you read any type of self improvement.

When we expand our field of awareness, more of life reveals itself.

It's a life changing practice.

But as someone who defaults to dissociation, awareness can also be a tool for avoidance.

It can be cold.

Lonely.

A way to detach from the world.

Lately, I've been focusing on

Presence.

A way of being – fully engaged in the moment.

Neither accepting nor rejecting, I sit in and with the energy around me.

When I focus on presence vs. awareness, I feel more connected.

Really at the end of the day, it's semantics, but we shouldn't underestimate the power of words.

A simple change can evoke a completely different outcome.
